We welcome all guests, particularly those who identify with groups that are traditionally underrepresented in the publishing industry (including, but not limited to, Black, Indigenous, and people of colour).
Application Process:
Space is limited. Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of HarperCollins Canada and Harlequin employees, and a select number of applicants will be invited to attend the event. The application deadline is March 12, 2021 at 4 pm. Applications submitted after this deadline will not be considered.
Candidates being considered for the event will be contacted with additional details in mid-April.
How to Apply:
No resume is required and will not be reviewed if included in the applications process. Instead, applicants are asked to include a one to two page essay that includes their name, email address, and the answers to the following questions:
1. Why do you want to work in book publishing?
2. In your opinion, how well is the Publishing industry doing in promoting unrepresented voices?
3. If you are changing careers, why do you want to transition into book publishing?
4. What are the last five books you’ve read? (This can be a list or paragraph)
As resumes are not required, when prompted by the system to submit a resume, the essay should be submitted in its place.
If not prompted, go your candidate profile and replace your existing resume.
