Executive Director – The Centre for Indigenous Corporate Partnership (CICP)
- July 27, 2026
Description
The Centre for Indigenous Corporate Partnership (CICP) is a new and exciting national nonprofit that is quickly making its mark by advancing Indigenous prosperity through reciprocal allyship between Indigenous communities and Corporate Canada.
With a strong foundation of support in place and significant early impact, CICP is now seeking its inaugural Executive Director to build on this early success, deepen its partnerships, and guide CICP through its next stage of growth.
Created in response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Call to Action #92, CICP brings communities and corporate partners together to exchange knowledge, strengthen local capacity, and advance priorities defined by Indigenous communities. Through corporate-community secondments, leadership and business accelerators, and national thought leadership, CICP offers a practical and innovative model for advancing economic reconciliation in Canada.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, and in collaboration with an incoming Program & Relationship Manager, the Executive Director will provide strategic, operational, and public leadership for CICP, ensuring it remains grounded in Indigenous leadership, community priorities, respect, and accountability. They will oversee the continued development of CICP’s three programming pillars, strengthen systems for impact measurement and reporting, and build the organizational infrastructure, team, and financial foundations required for sustainable growth. As CICP’s primary representative and spokesperson, the Executive Director will cultivate trusted relationships with Indigenous communities, leaders, Elders, corporate members, funders, and philanthropic partners across Canada. They will lead revenue development, elevate CICP’s national profile, and help translate a distinctive and proven model into an enduring organization that advances Indigenous self-determination, reciprocity, and shared prosperity.
As the ideal candidate, you are a purpose-driven, credible, and entrepreneurial executive leader with experience in a nonprofit, social enterprise, corporate, philanthropic, community-based, or other mission-driven environment. You have demonstrated success developing strategy, building organizations, leading teams, managing complex operations, and translating vision into practical results. Comfortable in an early-stage environment, you combine strategic leadership with a willingness to work hands-on and bring strong financial, organizational, and operational acumen.
You bring a strong understanding of Indigenous governance, community priorities, relationship protocols, and community-led decision-making, along with experience working in partnership with Indigenous communities, organizations, Elders, or leaders. An exceptional relationship builder and communicator, you are known for your integrity, humility, sound judgment, and ability to build trust across Indigenous and corporate partners, funders, staff, the Board, and the broader public. Experience generating revenue through corporate partnerships, memberships, philanthropy, grants, or other funding relationships will be important.
