The Registered Nurse - Acute & Ambulatory Care (FT Indeterminate) is a regulated member of the health care team who uses the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation), critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills, in keeping with the standards, and scope of nursing practice set by the College of Nurses of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut (CANNN), and the policies, protocols, and guidelines of the Hay River Health & Social Services Authority, to provide quality nursing care to all clients, families, groups, communities and populations across the lifespan in all practice settings. The RN is a generalist who provides nursing care to clients with acute, emergency, surgical, post-operative recovery, maternity/newborn and palliative care needs. Range 16, $106,158 to $126,808 per year ($54.44 to $65.03/hour)

The Registered Nurse- Home Care (FT Term) provides comprehensive, quality nursing care to clients of all ages and their families in the clients’ home.  The overall result expected is cost-effective client-centered nursing care focusing on restoring and maintaining the health of clients after acute illness, injury, or surgery.  Furthermore, the purpose of this position is to protect and restore health of clients after acute illness, injury, or surgery; to monitor and maintain health of clients with chronic illness; to provide palliative care and to coordinate appropriate community-based services for clients. Range 16, $106,158 to $126,808 per year ($54.44 to $65.03/hour)

The Registered Nurse- Public Health (FT Indeterminate) provides holistic community health services that prevent and reduce the incidence of communicable disease, protect the health status of clients within the community, promote community wellness and ensure comprehensive public health services are provided using the principles of Primary Health Care.  Functions within the parameters of established health authority, regional, territorial and professional nursing standards and policies. Range 16, $106,158 to $126,808 per year ($54.44 to $65.03/hour)

The Community Mental Health Nurse (FT Term) is responsible to provide comprehensive care, assessment and case management services for individuals who are experiencing substance use disorders to their region in accordance with established standards of nursing practice, the philosophy, objectives an polices of the Hay River Health and Social Services Authority, the principles of primary health care and the NWT Public Health Act, combined to ensure the provision of safe standardized health care, to protect, restore and promote health to the residents of their region.  Range 17, $111,130 to $132,717 annually ($56.99-$68.06/hour)
